citation-crosscheck
Conditionally double-blind bibliographic cross-check (double-blind only when the host can isolate the web agent; a flag-only heuristic when isolation can't be attested): one agent extracts each cited entry verbatim from the local .bib, a second independently re-fetches the same paper's record from the web while blind to the .bib, and a third extractor emits a mechanical field-by-field delta to catch dropped/re-ordered authors, wrong years, wrong venues, and bad DOIs/arXiv ids. The main agent (never a shard) assigns the MATCH/MINOR/MISMATCH verdict per reference, and exports a side-by-side spreadsheet. Use when user says "citation crosscheck", "double-blind citation check", "verify bib against scholar", "bib field audit", "引用交叉核对", or before submission when bibliography FIELD accuracy (not just existence) must be certified.

What does the citation-crosscheck skill do?
It's a reusable SKILL.md instruction set that loads into your AI coding assistant on demand, no prompt engineering, no copy-pasting every session.
How do I install the citation-crosscheck skill?
Run `npx @skills-hub-ai/cli install auto-research-citation-crosscheck` from your terminal. The CLI writes the SKILL.md to the correct location for your AI tool (e.g. ~/.claude/skills/auto-research-citation-crosscheck/ for Claude Code or ~/.cursor/skills/ for Cursor with --target cursor) and adds it to your project's .skills.json lockfile.
Which AI tools does citation-crosscheck work with?
citation-crosscheck runs in Claude Code. It follows the open Agent Skills standard (SKILL.md), so the same skill works in every supported tool without modification.
Is the citation-crosscheck skill free?
Yes. Every skill on skills-hub.ai is free and open-source. There are no premium tiers, paywalls, or usage limits. You only pay for whatever AI assistant you're already using.
How do I use citation-crosscheck after installing it?
In Claude Code, type `/auto-research-citation-crosscheck` (or whatever slash command the skill registers) and the AI follows the skill's instructions immediately. You can also reference it by name in natural language, your AI loads the skill into context when relevant.
Can I share the citation-crosscheck skill with my team?
Yes. Commit your project's .skills.json lockfile and teammates run `npx @skills-hub-ai/cli install` (no args) to install every skill at the exact version you pinned. Organization-scoped installs work via skills-hub.ai organizations.
