Voice Mode (AI Coding)
Also known as: claude code voice, voice coding, /voice
In one sentence
Push-to-talk voice input in AI coding tools, Claude Code's /voice (March 2026) supports 20 languages.
Full definition
Voice mode lets you talk to your AI coding agent instead of typing. Claude Code added native voice mode (/voice) in March 2026 with support for 20 languages and push-to-talk activation. Google Antigravity 2.0 launched with voice mode built into the desktop app. Cursor and Windsurf rely on third-party voice extensions. Voice mode is most useful for hands-free coding (driving, walking) and rapid context dumps that would be slow to type, describing a bug, narrating an architecture sketch, or dictating a long PR description.
