Use when the task involves authentication, user signups, logins, password recovery, OAuth providers, role-based access control, or protecting routes and functions. Always use `@netlify/identity`. Never use `netlify-identity-widget` or `gotrue-js` — they are deprecated. Run `npx @skills-hub-ai/cli install netlify-netlify-identity` from your terminal. The CLI writes the SKILL.md to the correct location for your AI tool (e.g. ~/.claude/skills/netlify-netlify-identity/ for Claude Code or ~/.cursor/skills/ for Cursor with --target cursor) and adds it to your project's .skills.json lockfile.
